I am a singer/actor from Bassett, VA! I grew up in a musical family where everyone either sang, played an instrument, or did both. Growing up in the church, gospel music is what we primarily consumed. However, my mother taught my siblings and I how important it was to listen to, learn from, and appreciate every style of music. When I was five, my mom took me to audition for an adaptation of The Little Mermaid, not knowing that I would develop a passion for acting as well. She said I had a big personality as a child, and she thought it would be a fun way for me to express myself. I “lived my best life” as a seahorse and loved that experience so much that I decided to continue to perform, study musical theatre in college, and pursue a career as an actor. The theater is a paramount part of my being. Knowing that the stories we tell have the potential to teach, uplift, and encourage people is what endears me to this beautiful artform. Characters that are confident, ambitious, who love hard, and fight for what they believe in, fit my POV as an actor. My ultimate goal as an artist is to create truthful and meaningful work that touches others. In my free time I like to cook, go shopping, hang out with my friends and family, and watch reality tv! I am a Sagittarius and my favorite season is winter!
