MADISON HITE

THEATRE PERFORMANCE 2022

Hey there! I am Madison Hite (she/her), and I’m a performer based in the Northern VA/DC area. As a theatre artist, I value collaboration, communication, and respect among all involved in a project. The type of work that gets me really excited are those that challenge norms, explore deep relationships and emotions, and foster a sense of community. While at JMU, I was a part of a student-written show titled “The Pandemic Project”, which tackled many hot-topics of the last couple of years like the Black Lives Matter movement and the great mask debate. It was the first time I had ever written anything for the stage, so it was very fulfilling for me to see that come to life. Outside of JMU, I spent a lot of time working and performing at The Wayne Theatre in Waynesboro, VA. There, I loved seeing all the ways theatre and performance can bring a community together and be a place of celebration for people of all backgrounds and identities. Some favorite shows I participated in there are Something Rotten (Portia), Hairspray (Penny Pingleton), and The Turn of the Screw (The Governess). My plans for the next year include attending George Mason University in Arlington, VA to receive my Masters in Management with a focus in arts administration. As I enter the professional world, my goals are to leave a positive impact wherever I end up!
