Hi there! I’m Amanda Willis (she/her) and I am a Senior Theatre Major at JMU with a double concentration in Performance and Education. Ever since I could walk and talk I have loved performing in any way I can, even if that meant performing skits in my basement for my family at the age of 4. Growing up, I immersed myself in acting wherever I could, whether that was school productions, community theatre, Improv clubs, karaoke nights, or masterclasses and intensives. Some of my favorite roles I have had the privilege of playing include Cinderella in Into The Woods, Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Sandy in Grease. I highly value collaboration, empathy, and acceptance throughout any artistic process, and I cherish any opportunity to take the audience on a meaningful journey. My favorite movie is About Time, as it completely changed the way I live my life on a daily basis. A dream of mine is to be a part of a film that has the capacity to effect people the same way that About Time affected me. Oh I also have 2 cats that I love dearly! When I am not in school, rehearsals, or work, you can usually find me at my favorite beaches on Cape Cod, MA.
